Returning and Prospective Player Meeting

There will be parent and player meeting for all returning softball players as well as those interested in playing for Roswell High School this upcoming season. The meeting will be Tuesday May 15th at 7:00 pm in the Roswell Media Center. At this meeting Coach Sutter will provide information about summer workouts as well as important information and dates for the 2012 softball season. Annual Roswell Fastpitch Summer Skills Camp Dates Announced!

Roswell High School Fastpitch Softball is proud to announce its annual Summer Softball Camp 2012. This is an all-around skills camp that will cover various aspects of the game of softball. Throwing mechanics, hitting fundamentals, position play and base running will all be covered. The camp will take place on Monday, June 4th through Thursday, June 7th. There will be one camp session offered for all rising 1st through 9th grades from 9AM to 12PM.

Ben Sutter Named Roswell Fastpitch Head Coach for 2012 Season

Coach Sutter is entering his third season with Roswell Fastpitch and will serve as the Varsity Head Coach for the 2012 season. He will primarily work with infielders.

In High School, Coach Sutter played four years of baseball at Harrison High School. During that time, Coach Sutter was a part of two Dugout Championships, three Sub-Region Championships, three Region Championships and finishing up with a State Championship in 1998. After high school, Coach Sutter played four years as a pitcher and 1st baseman for the Columbus State Cougars.  Following his playing career, Coach Sutter served as a graduate assistant at Columbus State working primarily with hitters and the infielders.

Coach Sutter graduated with a Criminal Justice Degree as well as earning his Masters in Public Administration. He is currently working in the Special Education Department at Roswell High and is the Varsity Baseball Pitching Coach. Coach Sutter is married to his wife Amanda and currently resides in Acworth, Georgia.

All returning Roswell Fastpitch players should report to room D-113 at 8AM to meet the new head coach of Roswell Fastpitch Softball!

Mandatory Returning Player Meeting this Friday

There will be a brief meeting this Friday, February 23rd at 8AM in Coach Lawless’ room, D-113, for all returning softball players. The meeting will address off-season strength and condition in addition to 2 on 1 skill workouts in the upcoming months.

6th Annual Roswell High School Thanksgiving Food Drive

According to the latest US Census Bureau American Community Survey report released in September 2010, 14.2 percent of Georgia households experienced low food security. Food Security is defined as access to enough food for a day. Monday, October 31, 2011 will mark the first official day of the 6th Annual Roswell High School Thanksgiving Food Drive. Please bring in canned goods and non-perishable items to your English or HAP class over the next three weeks. Please do your part to make this Thanksgiving special for all families in the Roswell area!
